Meet Our Founders

Saugat Gautam

Saugat Gautam, a development practitioner has been involved with nonprofits since 2015 in different capacities. Additionally, he has been associating himself as visiting faculty at Thames International College. He is a political science graduate with practice during Constituent Assembly through Carter Center in Nepal as Political Analyst. Despite his professional career, he’s been volunteering at Rotaract and has served as District Rotaract Representative (DRR 2018-19) at Rotary International District 3292, Nepal and Bhutan.

The programs which Saugat oversees are under human rights, strengthening civil society organizations and local governments that work closely with local and provincial governments. In recent days, he has been working independently with different organizations and forums to facilitate sessions on different topics like Federalization in Nepal, Parliamentary Development, Project Design, Monitoring & Evaluation, Grant Management, Local Fundraising and Mobilizing Support.

Prapti Adhikari

Prapti Adhikari, a seasoned professional in the field of development, comes with a Development Studies degree from Kathmandu University and holds over a decade of experience. She has worked in various sectors, including child protection, education, livelihood, WASH and humanitarian response. She has travelled extensively across the country and gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise. As an expert in research, monitoring and evaluation, Prapti has a unique ability to gather and analyze data to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Prapti loves traveling and has a passion for cooking, Youtube being the guru! She is a calming presence, and people feel comfortable spilling their secrets, knowing that her lips are sealed. When it comes to entertainment, she swears by Bollywood movies and is a true SRK fan!

Manish Prasad Acharya

Manish Prasad Acharya is the Founder and CAO of Nepal Can Group and its sister concerns (Nepal Can Move, Nepal Can Code, Nepal Can Buy, and First Source World, Education Consultancy). Nepal Can Move is a premier logistics company working in Nepal since 2018. He was in the Banking industry for more than 13 years where he worked in different parts of Nepal leading different departments and branches of the bank. His area of expertise is financial management and human resource management.
He really likes to explore and study different subjects and topics in economics. He truly believes collaboration between government, civil society, and the private sector will lead to sustainable development which drives him to be a part of NCID.

Bidyanath Bhurtel

Bidyanath Bhurtel, a development practitioner for the last 2 decades, academically trained in Development Anthropology.
For the past 13 plus years, leading a Netherlands-based international development organization- ICCO Cooperation (Now known as Cordaid) as the Country Representative/Manager Nepal. ICCO/Cordaid has
been working in Development and Humanitarian projects with innovative, solution-oriented, grounded and evidence-based approaches, targeting the impoverished and neglected sections of population in remote rural contexts of the country, esp. in Karnali, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
As the leader of the organization, key roles have been strategizing, operationalization, designing programs and projects, relationship management with local partners and key stakeholders, resource
mobilization and fund raising. ICCO partners with enterprising people and institutions and is well recognized as ‘innovators’ who dare to test new ideas, apply unheard of approaches for achieving sustained positive changes in the lives of people reached by the projects. All over the globe, ICCO/Cordaid has pioneered partnership with private sector on food systems, on humanitarian
responses and, among others, and creating sustainable changes through impact investments. In recent years, ICCO/Cordaid has been actively leading projects on youths, entrepreneurship/employability, vocational skills development targeting the migrants and youths in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Summit Bajracharya

Summit Bajracharya is an IT professional with over six years of experience in the field of Information Technology. He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional since 2021 and Microsoft Fast Track Solution Architect since 2021.

Apart from his professional achievements, Summit is passionate about using his skills and knowledge to give back to the community. He has been involved in several innitatives related to youth development, strengthening civil society organizations, and local governments. Summit has also volunteered at Rotaract and served as District Rotaract Representative (DRR 2021-22) at Rotary International District 3292, Nepal and Bhutan.
