Our Approach to Integrated Development

Community Engagement

The community engagement often asks for tailor made solutions keeping their real world problems in mind. NCID partners with local organizations, such as schools, non-profits, and community centers, to provide pro-bono consulting services.

Collaborating with Community Groups: NCID focuses on reaching out to community groups and organizations to establish partnerships and collaborations. This can involve actively seeking out community groups and soliciting their input on research topics or projects, and engaging with them throughout the research process.

Conducting Surveys and Focus Groups: NCID promotes community engagement through surveys and focus groups to gather input and feedback from community members. This can help to ensure that research is relevant to the needs and concerns of the community, and can help to build trust and engagement.

Organizing Community Meetings and Workshops: NCID organizes community meetings and workshops to facilitate dialogue and discussion between researchers and community members. These meetings can be used to share research findings, gather feedback, and establish ongoing relationships with the community.

Providing Accessible Information: NCID provides accessible information about research projects and findings to community members. This can involve translating research materials into multiple languages, using plain language to communicate findings, and making research materials available in a variety of formats.

Supporting Community-Based Research: Support community-based research by providing funding, training, and technical assistance to community groups and organizations. This can help to empower community members to take an active role in research, and can help to ensure that research is conducted in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner.

Civil Society & Private Sector Involvement

  • NCID looks forward to play an important role in promoting civil society and private sector involvement in development by leveraging their expertise, networks, and resources.

Here are some ways that NCID can contribute to this effort:

Providing technical assistance: NCID  offers technical assistance to civil society organizations and private sector entities to help them develop and implement development programs. This may include designing and evaluating programs, providing training and capacity building, and offering guidance on fundraising and resource mobilization.

Facilitating partnerships: NCID facilitates partnerships between civil society organizations, private sector entities, and governments to promote collaboration and leverage resources. This may involve identifying potential partners, brokering agreements, and providing support for joint initiatives.

Conducting research and analysis: NCID conducts research and analysis to inform development policies and programs. This may involve conducting needs assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs, and identifying best practices and innovative approaches.

Advocating for policies and reforms: NCID advocates for policies and reforms that promote private sector involvement and civil society participation in development. This may involve engaging with policymakers and other stakeholders to promote policy change, and advocating for increased funding and resources for development programs.

Government Cooperation

Highlight the benefits: NCID focuses on highlighting the benefits of working together with the government, such as improved public policies, increased efficiency in public services, and better outcomes for citizens. By emphasising these benefits, consulting firms can create a sense of shared purpose and motivate government officials to cooperate.

Provide value-added services: NCID provides value-added services to government agencies, such as data analytics, policy research, and program evaluation. By demonstrating their expertise and adding value to government initiatives, consulting firms can position themselves as valuable partners to the government.

Be proactive: NCID proactively identifies opportunities for collaboration with the government. By staying up-to-date with policy developments and identifying areas where their expertise can be applied, consulting firms can position themselves as proactive partners to the government.

Foster a culture of collaboration: Finally, NCID fosters a culture of collaboration by encouraging their employees to engage with government officials and promoting a collaborative mindset within the organization. By demonstrating a commitment to collaboration, NCID can establish itself as partner invested in working with the government to achieve common goals.
